Hornet Launched at Rs 8.60 Lakh: Honda CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP Unveiled in India
Honda has recently introduced two new motorcycles in the Indian market: the CB750 Hornet and the CB1000 Hornet SP. These street-naked bikes are designed to cater to riders seeking performance, style, and advanced technology. The CB750 Hornet is priced at Rs 8.60 lakh, while the CB1000 Hornet SP comes with a price tag of Rs 12.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
Honda CB750 Hornet Launched at Rs 8.60 Lakh
The Honda CB750 Hornet is powered by a 755cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 90.6 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifts and enhanced control. The bike features a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity, allowing riders to access navigation, music, and call information. It also offers four riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, and User, along with a traction control system with three levels.
In terms of design, the CB750 Hornet boasts sharp bodywork, muscular tank shrouds, and an all-LED lighting setup. It is available in two color options: Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. The bike’s suspension duties are handled by 41 mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston upside-down forks at the front and a rear shock with five-step adjustable preload. Braking is managed by dual 296 mm front discs with four-piston radial Nissin calipers and a 240 mm disc at the rear, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The CB750 Hornet weighs 192 kg and has a seat height of 795 mm.
Honda CB1000 Hornet SP Launched in India at Rs 12.35 Lakh
The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is the more powerful sibling, featuring a 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that produces 155 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 107 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear changes.
The CB1000 Hornet SP shares the same 5-inch full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity as the CB750 Hornet. It offers five riding modes, including Sport, Standard, Rain, and two customizable User modes, along with a three-level traction control system. The bike’s suspension setup includes Showa USD forks at the front and an Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock at the rear, providing excellent handling and comfort. Braking is handled by 310 mm front discs with Brembo Stylema calipers and a 240 mm rear disc.
The CB1000 Hornet SP is available exclusively through Honda’s BigWing Topline dealerships, with bookings already open and deliveries expected to commence from June 2025.
With the launch of the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP, Honda has expanded its premium motorcycle lineup in India, offering riders a choice between a mid-range and a litre-class street-naked bike.
